The editor of the independent Al-Dostour Newspaper, Ibrahim Eissa, has been summoned by the State Security Prosecutor. Eissa is expected to attend an interrogation on Wedensday. According to the Press Syndicate, Eissa is to face prosecution over Al-Dostour's coverage of rumours about the state of health of Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak.

Another incident to prove that state security is only functioning to protect the regime and ruling elite rather than actually consolidate the security of the nation.
As reported by Reporters without Borders , Summir Said, a young woman journalist has been repeatedly harrassed and threatened by State Security.
Any attempt to restrict, harrass, and intimidate journalists in Egypt is an attempt to prevent the truth from coming out. I wonder when will the regime learn that instead of wasting time and money on harrassing those who struggle for freedom and those who work on exposing the truth, it should work on improving its performance and halt all forms of human rights violations.
